About:: Musically I've been around the block & I mean that sincerely.
I started my musical journey as a Soul Boy back in 1983.My first two records were LIGHT OF THE WORLD:London Town & MARY JANE GIRLS:All Night Long.From there I started going to Blues Parties,listening to Dub,Lovers Rock,Soul & Jazz Funk,pause pushing,London Pirate Radio.Horizon Radio,JFM,LWR,Rock to Rock radio & Lazer fm.This journey carried me to Jazz,Latin,Brazilian,Rare Groove,Acid Jazz,Dance floor Jazz,nu jazz,Drum n Bass & Future House.Now all these elements have been cooked up in one cooking pot & the new food is Broken & it tastes delicious!
Firstly I'm a dancer & secondly a DJ.I've hit the dance floor at Dukes,zero 7,Dingwalls (Gilles Peterson) Jazz Bistro (Patric Forge) Free Form Jazz,Bar Rumba,Blue Note (hoxton) Hi Hat Jazz Caf'e,The Fridge Soul to Soul,Messin around (villa stefano) The Mombo Inn (Loughborough Hotel) & so many more.
My ultimate goal when I DJ is to play our music, so everyone involved gets paid & I don't just mean money, I mean the art of music in the pure sense without the ego that destroys music.So if you love music & you come knocking on my door,it's a pleasure to make your acquantance & lets help each other grow.But if your carrying an ego DON'T KNOCK !

The life changing book for me was 'a life stripped bare' by Leo Hickman ... very inspirational. I seem to be reading a lot at the moment ... my wife Tracey picked up 'there's a hippo in my cistern' by Pete May from our local library today ... an easy read and light-hearted. I think it's important to support and encourage instead of beating people up about it (unless their politicians or big business!). We're going on holiday tomorrow (flying I'm afraid!), but I'll catch up with you when we're back in a weeks time.
