A few years ago at the WMC, I had a realization. I was down in Miami chillin' with musically like-minded people from Detroit, LA, Puerto Rico, Canada, Seattle, New York, etc. All of these cats represented the future soul/nu-jazz/broken beat/whatever you want to call it scenes across America. We definately have a nice little network going on but our individual scenes are so far apart. Imagine If we really put our resources together. We could easily change the sound of American music.…
